This announcement provides news that effective 24 December 2023, subscribers who race in the San Francisco Bay area with events scheduled on the Jibeset.net website may have the events fully integrated with Crew Manager. What this means is that all the links posted on Jibeset.net for events (Race Documents & Amendments, Waiver Forms, Results, etc.) are automatically updated on your Crew Manager events on a daily basis. Link descriptions include the date the document was posted.

To enable integration with your site requires saving the Jibeset.net event url in a designated field. An example is the Golden Gate YC Manuel Fagundes Seaweed Soup Regatta Series using this link: https://www.jibeset.net/GGYC000.php?RG=T008769423. The link should be saved in the Crew Manager event in either one of two places:

1. The field labeled Payment or Event Tickets URL: located by opening the section labeled EVENT PAYMENT / TICKETS INFORMATION (ONLY ENTER COST OR CHECK "FREE EVENT" IF IT IS TO BE DISPLAYED) and checking the radio box labeled Payment Link or Tickets Link Available (Use to Display a Clickable Link)
2. The field labeled Website URL: located by opening the section labeled CLUB OR ORGANIZING AUTHORITY INFO

Including Jibeset.net listed regattas on your boat calendar is made easy for the 2023-4 season with the events included on the Crew Manager main calendar. These are available for import to your site using the procedure documented in the Skipper Manual to copy events from another site.

1. Select the Crew Manager Main Site Calendar, and select the Jibeset Hosted tag. The list will update to display only the regattas hosted on Jibeset.net.
2. Check the boxes for desired regattas
3. Click the blue Copy Events button below the table

After the events are copied you may edit the events on your site. You'll probably want to change the Boat Location from the host Yacht Club to the location your boat is kept. You may also make any other changes desired and update information in the description area. Once this is done, it is recommended that the repeating events be split into individual events using the Skipper Manual procedure Splitting a Repeating Event into Single Events

Crew Manager would like to acknowledge the support of Ray Irvine who provides the Jibeset.net website service to the clubs and sailors in the San Francisco Bay area. Ray developed a custom interface that allows seamless transfer of information hosted on Jibeset.net to the Crew Manager sites.

An example of the integration results is provided in the pop up below for the Manual Fagundes Seaweed Soup Regatta Series.

Effective 30 January 2024 the race and series results posted on Jibeset.net are automatically updated on Crew Manager sites at 2am PST daily. Any calendar entry with a properly stored Jibeset.net event link will receive the update.

This will show in the Recent Results section, on the Boat, Results page and on the popup when a date badge is moused over.
