Skippers may define custom field names for Events such as "Notice of Race" and display these fields showing the values on an event similar to the way Uniform, Fees Paid, etc. are displayed. If the data entered in the field contains http, the field will be displayed as a link. Once a field has been defined for an event, it is available to use on all events.

Note that custom field names should not begin with an underscore "_" as these are filtered from display. The custom fields may contain upper and lower case, numbers and spaces. Stay away from special characters and quotation marks, as these may not display correctly. A custom field is setup as follows, assuming that the Skipper is already in the process of creating or editing an event:

Scroll down to display the section labeled Custom Fields

Custom Fields - using a previously defined field:
  1. Click the arrow on the Select dropdown, then click name of the custom field that was previously defined.
  2. In the Value field type or paste the desired content. If the full link is typed (or pasted) into the Value field it will be displayed as a clickable link when the event is displayed.
  3. Click the grey Add Custom Field button below the dropdown.
Custom Fields - define a new field:
  1. Click Enter new located above the grey Add Custom Field button below the dropdown.
  2. In the Name field type text for the desired field name such as "Notice of Race"
  3. In the Value field type or paste the desired content. If the full link is typed (or pasted) into the Value field it will be displayed as a clickable link when the event is displayed.
  4. Click the Add Custom Field button.
Note: There is no need to click the blue Update button if the custom fields are the only changes.

The custom field will be displayed on the event in the following format:

Field Name as a hyperlink if the value is a web link
